Riyadh: The State of Qatar participated in the 10th meeting of GCC Public Prosecutors, Attorney-Generals and heads of public investigation bodies and the Public Prosecution which was held in Riyadh yesterday. 
Attorney-General H E Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri led Qatar’s delegation to the meeting, which discussed a range of topics and took appropriate decisions and made recommendations. 
The meeting decided to present Hamid Al Othman Award to a number of prosecutors in the Gulf Cooperation Council, including Maryam Abdulla Al Jabir, Chief of Prosecution of the Family Prosecution of the Public Prosecution of the State of Qatar. Al Jabir is the first Chief of Prosecution in the GCC to receive this award introduced last year at the 9th meeting of the GCC Public Prosecutors in Doha.
Kuwait’s Attorney-General Counsel Dirar Al Asousi hailed this initiative, extending his thanks to Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who ordered the creation of this award during a meeting with the GCC Public Prosecutors last year.
